The Many Uses of Electrolysis in London

There are few treatments that have revolutionised the beauty industry as much as electrolysis. London based trained and experienced experts at Grove Beauty Clinic in Ealing use electrolysis to treat many skin complaints. It’s a versatile treatment that can be used for a whole host of cosmetic purposes.

Electrolysis involves a fine needle, no bigger than an eyelash, transmitting a tiny electrical current into problem areas of the skin.  It’s a procedure that’s effective, fast and virtually pain free which is why so many clients opt for electrolysis. London ladies and gentlemen visit Grove Beauty Clinic for a vast range of treatments using electrolysis, including:
Skin tag removal London: Electrolysis is a highly effective way to remove skin tags without leaving any scar, unlike surgery.

Permanent hair reduction: Electrolysis is one of the most popular treatments for permanent hair reduction for any part of the body and is especially effective for facial hair removal.

Spider and facial thread vein removal London: Electrolysis works to reduce the tiny blood vessels that cause visible veins on the legs and face, leaving a beautifully clear complexion.

Blood spot removal London: Electrolysis effectively banishes unsightly blood spots that lie just under the surface of the skin. A smooth, appearance results.

Wart removal: Benign and common warts are removed quickly, professionally and painlessly at our London electrolysis clinic.

Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra: An affliction (pictured below) that responds very well to electrolysis.
First Class Results at Grove: Your London Electrolysis Clinic

Blood Spots and How to Treat Them

Blood spots are a very common skin complaint that we deal with very frequently at Grove Beauty Clinic. This bright red, raised blemish is not contagious or dangerous but can cause the sufferer embarrassment, and that’s where our skin experts come in.

What are Blood Spots and What Causes Them?
As common as they are, many people don’t really understand what blood spots, also known as Campbell de Morgan spots, are. They are usually found on people over the age of 40 on the neck and chest, or trunk of the body, but rarely on the face.  They are caused by blood vessels grouping together at the surface of the skin and although they are not painful, they can bleed if they are knocked or scratched.
Safe Blood Spot Removal at Grove Beauty Clinic
We have two safe methods to remove blood spots here at the clinic. Our practitioner will decide which treatment is best following an in-depth skin analysis. We offer:
Advanced Cosmetic Procedure (ACP): ACP safely removes blood spots by denying the blood vessels that feed the blemish access to blood. This is achieved by the insertion of a tiny, eye lash sized probe being inserted into the capillary that feeds the spot.  A small electrical current is discharged which kills the capillary and stops the flow of blood that has caused the blemish. The procedure is quick, efficient and safe.
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL):  IPL removes blood spots by exposing the blood vessels that surround the blemish to intense pulses of extremely bright light.  These controlled bursts of laser light are enough to penetrate the skin and destroy the capillaries. Without any blood supply the blood spot will be ‘starved’ and will disappear.
Both procedures are safe and effective when administered by clinical experts such as the expert practitioners here at Grove Beauty Clinic. The extent of the problem will determine how many treatments will be required.  Many cases of blood spots can be treated in just a couple of sessions.
Don’t let blood spots ruin your confidence.  Call in to 53 The Grove today, or call us on 020 8579 2010 to discuss our choice of procedures to rid you of annoying blood spots forever.

What Causes Dark Skin Patches and How Can they be Treated?

Dark skin patches, or melasma, are a common skin complaint but why do they appear and can they be removed?
Many clients who come to Grove Beauty Clinic with skin complaints are sufferers of melasma and the good news is there is a very effective treatment available.
What is Melasma?
Melasma is the name for the dark brown or grey patches that appear on the face – particularly the forehead, cheeks, forearms and neck.  It’s not a dangerous condition but it is one that troubles a great many people. Melasma is caused by ageing and overexposure to the sun. The patches darken and become more noticeable in sunlight and can become unsightly.  Pregnant women are very susceptible to melasma, so much so that it is often called the ‘mask of pregnancy.’
If you’re a sufferer of dark skin patches then a good sunscreen, used every day, is an absolute must. The condition is caused by over production of melanin in the skin and this can be triggered by sunlight.
Treating Melasma with CosMedix
At Grove Beauty Clinic we treat melasma with cutting edge products from the CosMedix range.  CosMedix is an advanced cosmeceutical range that deals with many skin conditions safely and naturally.
Qualified practitioners at Grove Beauty Clinic treat melasma first by helping to control the over production of melanin with a topical skin brightener made with natural ingredients such as azelaic acid that does not cause harmful side-effects.  Once the melanin production is controlled the discoloured patches of skin are reduced with gentle peels and resurfacing treatments.  The dark patches fade with this treatment and restore the skin to its original condition.
Before any CosMedix treatment is administered the skin care experts at Grove will conduct an in-depth skin analysis to ensure the correct treatment is prescribed.  Skin is monitored during the treatment and afterwards too for the very best results.
If you’re a sufferer of melasma and you’d like more information on CosMedix treatments at Grove then call 0208 579 2010 today or call into the clinic at 53 The Grove, Ealing.

Hair Removal: Three Ways at Grove

Grove Beauty Clinic offers a choice of hair removal and reduction treatments to suit everyone. Here are our three most popular methods:

Waxing is the preferred hair removal treatment for many thousands of women. The effects are good with hair becoming finer and less abundant with each waxing treatment.  Waxing removes the hair right from the root so regrowth can take between two to eight weeks, making it a good long term hair removal treatment.  Waxing is suitable for any part of the body; it’s as effective on eyebrows as it is on legs and as fairly large areas can be waxed at one time it’s a fast procedure too.
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatment is another very popular hair reduction treatment at Grove.  IPL is tiny controlled pulses of light that penetrate into the upper layers of skin to destroy the hair follicle permanently reducing regrowth.
Grove favours Ellipse Super Light IPL as it features laser technology that delivers excellent results. IPL clients generally need between three to six treatments for noticeable results.
Electrolysis is one of the most popular treatments for the removal of unwanted hair and skin blemishes. The treatment involves a tiny, fine probe that is inserted into the hair follicle through which an electrical current is administered which destroys the follicle. Electrolysis is a pain-free and fast hair removal treatment with long lasting results.
Expert Advice and Treatment for Professional Hair Removal
The staff at Grove Beauty Clinic are experts in all methods of hair reduction and removal. All treatments are conducted by trained professionals who are qualified and experienced. Before any IPL and electrolysis treatment is embarked upon all clients are given an in-depth consultation and skin analysis where appropriate to ensure the right method is chosen. Full advice is also given on aftercare for all methods of hair removal.
