Treating Lines and Wrinkles with CACI

Fine lines and wrinkles may be a fact of life but, with ever evolving treatments to help reduce these signs of ageing, they no longer have to be endured.

Grove Beauty Clinic is proud to offer Computer Aided Cosmetology Instrument (CACI) treatment that is proving to be a revolutionary non-surgical procedure in the fight against ageing.  Dianne Peters, Registered Nurse and Grove founder, is excited by the advancements made by CACI treatments, “CACI is totally non-surgical yet when administered by trained professionals it gives the kind of results previously only seen with face lifts and other surgical treatments.”

CACI: A Revolutionary Treatment

CACI is a micro-current facial toning treatment that works by tightening the muscles in the face to reveal a more youthful and taut appearance. As it does not require any surgical treatment, there is no lengthy recovery period and no pain or discomfort.

CACI utilises a series of computerised controls that consist of LED light therapies, micro-currents and ultrasonic peels that are used to fight lines, wrinkles and sagging skin.

The treatment is revolutionary as it was the first facial treatment to utilise micro-currents. These are low frequencies and wave forms that work in line with the body’s own rhythms. These signals transmit tiny electrical signals to stimulate the muscles and strengthen skin tissue.  With such striking and effective results CACI is being called the viable alternative to facelifts.

The Difference is Visible, the Treatment is Bespoke

CACI treatments at Grove Beauty Clinic are only given following an in-depth skin analysis. Following this all treatments are administered by trained and qualified professionals. This makes CACI treatments at Grove Beauty Clinic predictable and reliable with results that show visible reductions of wrinkles and lines.

For more information on CACI treatments or to book a consultation contact Grove Beauty Clinic on 0208 579 2010 or call in to 53 The Grove, Ealing, West London.

How Endermologie Can Treat Cellulite

Cellulite is one of the most common complaints for women of all ages and body shapes. Most women, and a great deal of men, have cellulite, but it’s not a condition that has to be suffered. Cellulite was once believed to be untreatable but now with a greater understanding of this widespread skin complaint and advances in treatments it can be effectively treated.

What is Cellulite?

Cellulite is the name for the fat particles that are visible under the skin.  They show as a dimpled, bumpy surface area on the thighs, buttocks and often on the upper arms too.  Also known as ‘orange peel’ it’s caused when the small fat cells, called adipocytes, change and grow into clusters.  It’s genetic, and usually shows itself around puberty or if weight has been gained. You can help reduce the signs of cellulite by ensuring a healthy diet is followed along with exercise but for rapid, effective, long lasting results Endermologie is becoming increasingly popular.

The Benefits of Endermologie

Grove Beauty Clinic offers Endermologie; a solution to unsightly cellulite, which has made a real difference to a great many sufferers.  Endermologie is a pioneering form of deep tissue massage that is non-evasive and virtually pain free.  It works by massaging the fat cells deep beneath the skin with rollers and suction cups. The skin tissue is gently pulled to even out and disperse the skin clusters to give a more even, smooth appearance.  The experience is soothing and over a course of several sessions the results are clearly visible.

Endermologie treatments at Grove Beauty Clinic are conducted by specialist technicians who undergo intensive training before they are qualified to administer Endermologie.  With a level of commitment and professionalism and all treatments administered by medical professionals and treatment specialists, clients can be assured of reliable and predictable results that are carried out with confidence and in absolute safety.

For more information about Endermologie to reduce the appearance of cellulite contact Grove Beauty Clinic on 0208 579 2010 or visit us at 53, The Grove, Ealing, West London.

Save Time and Look Good Permanently with Semi-Permanent Cosmetic Enhancements

Can you imagine never needing to worry about applying make-up again?  Perhaps you dream of waking up in the morning looking your very best or having the flexibility to exercise, including swimming, without fearing your make up will smudge or run? Now those dreams can be a reality with the life-changing effects of semi-permanent cosmetic enhancement.

Semi-Permanent Make-Up: See the Magic for Yourself
Semi-permanent make-up offers relief from the daily regime of applying and removing make-up.  With the flexibility of semi-permanent make-up looking the best you possibly can, whatever the time of day or night, is a possibility which is available from Grove Beauty Clinic.

We are proud to offer semi-permanent make-up services that not only save valuable time but also help make the most of your appearance without the need for lengthy surgery.

Semi-permanent cosmetic enhancements from Grove include:
Brow enhancements: Brows are defined to frame and highlight the eyes to the greatest effect by adding shape and substance.  Semi-permanent make-up pencils in the lines of patchy brows to recreate each hair giving the effect of fuller, healthier brows.
Eyeliner: Eyeliner is one of the most effective ways of bringing out the beauty of the eyes.  There is no easier way of framing the eyes, opening them up and adding depth and clarity.  Semi-permanent make up is an easy way of creating this look without the need for applying eyeliner.
Lips:  One of the most noticeable features of the face is the lips, which is why we spend so long enhancing the shape and adding colour and definition. How to Achieve Younger, More Radiant Skin

Getting older is a fact of life but it’s no reason not to have young looking, radiant skin. Skin peels are one of the most effective methods of exfoliating away dead surface skin to reveal brighter, fresher skin and now thanks to advanced cosmetics, skin peels no longer need to be an uncomfortable affair.

What is a Skin Peel?
A skin peel is the application of a blend of ingredients onto the skin which deeply exfoliates its top layer. This top layer can be dull, dry or carry imperfections such as acne scars or pigmentation. A skin peel gently removes it to allow the new skin to surface.
What are The Benefits?
The benefits are many.  Fresh, radiant skin is revealed and problem skin that can be the result of too much sun, the natural process of ageing, skin conditions such as acne, enlarged pores and fine lines is gently peeled away.
In the past skin peels were harsh and could be painful.  Grove Beauty Clinic offers pioneering skin peels from CosMedix and Results RX that are made from natural ingredients and not harsh chemicals.
Skin Peels from CosMedix and Results RX
CosMedix and Results RX are advanced cosmetic ranges that are only prescribed by a skincare expert following an in-depth skin care analysis. Both ranges are ground breaking and made using the finest natural ingredients distilled to the most elemental form.
Skin peels from CosMedix including Benefit Peel, Purity Peel and Pomegranate Peel are gentle, nothing like the old painful peels, they require no ‘down time’ or skin recovery period and the results are predictably successful.
CosMedix Deep Sea Peel
CosMedix Deep Sea Peel is an acid free skin peel that is gentle but intensive. Following a two week preparation period, CosMedix Deep Sea Peel is used to reveal deeply radiant skin, tackling some of the most common skin complaints.
For more information about gentle, effective skin peels, including the CosMedix Deep Sea Peel, contact Grove Beauty Clinic on 0208 579 2010 or call into 53 The Grove, Ealing.

How to Prevent and Treat Crow’s Feet

Crow’s feet are usually the first signs of ageing that appear on the face. They are usually the first lines we notice and if not addressed they can quickly become the first of many. Preventing crow’s feet, making them less visible and treating them is possible and Grove Beauty Clinic can help.

What are Crow’s Feet?
Crow’s feet are the little lines, or creases, that appear around the corners of the eyes.  They vary from person to person in depth and noticeability. They are shaped like little Vs or, as the name suggests, splayed birds' feet.
Crow’s feet can appear as a result of too much squinting, causing the skin to crease into the lines that squinting causes. This can be from worry, or more commonly from squinting at the sun. Wearing sunglasses is a quick fix for that.  Not only will your eyes be shielded from harmful UV rays but the delicate around-the-eye skin will be protected against further damage too. Smoking is a no-no and not getting enough sleep or drinking enough water can make the symptoms worse.
Crow’s feet, like other fine lines that are associated with ageing, occur when the skin, as it matures, starts to lose collagen and the elastin that keeps skin supple.
Advanced Cosmetic Help from Grove
Specialised and advanced cosmetic products from CosMedix and Results RX are designed to smooth fine lines such as crow’s feet gently and effectively. These advanced formulas are available only through a trained and qualified practitioner and only after a detailed skin analysis.
CosMedix and Results RX products comprise natural ingredients reduced down to their most elemental form for the greatest effect.  Gentle skin peels and restorative moisture enhancing creams help to restore the elasticity of the skin, helping to erase fine lines and prevent the forming of new ones.

Don’t Let Crow’s Feet Spoil Your Complexion
Call the experts at Grove Beauty Clinic today on 0208 579 2010 for more information on the gentle skin benefits of CosMedix and Results RX or to book your skin analysis.

Dealing with Skin Breakouts Courtesy of CosMedix

It’s reported that 50% of adults will suffer with adult acne at some time in their lives. Anyone who has dealt with adult acne or other embarrassing skin complaints such as blemishes, spots, enlarged pores and inflammation will know that they can be very difficult and painful to deal with.
These conditions can appear almost overnight and can occur as a result of stress, poor diet, using the wrong products and an excess of oil produced in the skin. Help is at hand and thanks to some recent ground-breaking products, therapists are now favouring a kinder, more effective method of refining the skin and dealing with skin complaints.
In the past the only way to deal with such skin annoyances was by using chemical peels, laser or IPL.  Thanks to CosMedix, therapists now have a gentler, more natural method of dealing with skin breakouts and annoyances.  The results are effective and long-lasting too.
What Makes CosMedix Products Different?
CosMedix products are highly specialised and are used following a thorough skin consultation from a skin specialist.  They offer real results using pure ingredients that are clinically proven in skin trials to work.
Treatments such as prescribed creams and antibiotics that were traditionally used to treat acne can be toxic to the system. CosMedix uses pure and natural ingredients and doesn’t contain sodium lauryl sulphate and benzoyl peroxide; both known to aggravate the skin and exacerbate inflammation.
What Treatments are Recommended?
To fight adult acne, open pores and excessive blemishes following an in-depth skin consultation, Dianne Peters, founder of the Grove Beauty Clinic and a skin specialist and registered nurse, recommends using one of the range of CosMedix Correct Peels.
Purity Peel is a clarifying peel that penetrates excess oil and corrects enlarged pores and blemishes by detoxifying the skin with a deep epidermal peel.
Blueberry Smoothie is an antioxidant exfoliating peel that uses gentle acids and active blueberry extracts to exfoliate the skin without causing irritation.  This is an invigorating peel that is suitable for oily and problem skin.
Benefit Peel is an antioxidant stimulating peel that is the best peel for hypersensitive, or aging skin and to fight adult acne.  This potent antioxidant peel delivers nourishing ingredients, including fruit enzymes, into the skin’s layers.  This gently stimulates collagen production without excessive peeling.

The Many Uses of Electrolysis in London

There are few treatments that have revolutionised the beauty industry as much as electrolysis. London based trained and experienced experts at Grove Beauty Clinic in Ealing use electrolysis to treat many skin complaints. It’s a versatile treatment that can be used for a whole host of cosmetic purposes.

Electrolysis involves a fine needle, no bigger than an eyelash, transmitting a tiny electrical current into problem areas of the skin.  It’s a procedure that’s effective, fast and virtually pain free which is why so many clients opt for electrolysis. London ladies and gentlemen visit Grove Beauty Clinic for a vast range of treatments using electrolysis, including:
Skin tag removal London: Electrolysis is a highly effective way to remove skin tags without leaving any scar, unlike surgery.

Permanent hair reduction: Electrolysis is one of the most popular treatments for permanent hair reduction for any part of the body and is especially effective for facial hair removal.

Spider and facial thread vein removal London: Electrolysis works to reduce the tiny blood vessels that cause visible veins on the legs and face, leaving a beautifully clear complexion.

Blood spot removal London: Electrolysis effectively banishes unsightly blood spots that lie just under the surface of the skin. A smooth, appearance results.

Wart removal: Benign and common warts are removed quickly, professionally and painlessly at our London electrolysis clinic.

Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra: An affliction (pictured below) that responds very well to electrolysis.

Blood Spots and How to Treat Them

Blood spots are a very common skin complaint that we deal with very frequently at Grove Beauty Clinic. This bright red, raised blemish is not contagious or dangerous but can cause the sufferer embarrassment, and that’s where our skin experts come in.

What are Blood Spots and What Causes Them?
As common as they are, many people don’t really understand what blood spots, also known as Campbell de Morgan spots, are. They are usually found on people over the age of 40 on the neck and chest, or trunk of the body, but rarely on the face.  They are caused by blood vessels grouping together at the surface of the skin and although they are not painful, they can bleed if they are knocked or scratched.
Safe Blood Spot Removal at Grove Beauty Clinic
We have two safe methods to remove blood spots here at the clinic. Our practitioner will decide which treatment is best following an in-depth skin analysis. We offer:
Advanced Cosmetic Procedure (ACP): ACP safely removes blood spots by denying the blood vessels that feed the blemish access to blood. This is achieved by the insertion of a tiny, eye lash sized probe being inserted into the capillary that feeds the spot.  A small electrical current is discharged which kills the capillary and stops the flow of blood that has caused the blemish. The procedure is quick, efficient and safe.
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL):  IPL removes blood spots by exposing the blood vessels that surround the blemish to intense pulses of extremely bright light.  These controlled bursts of laser light are enough to penetrate the skin and destroy the capillaries. Without any blood supply the blood spot will be ‘starved’ and will disappear.
Both procedures are safe and effective when administered by clinical experts such as the expert practitioners here at Grove Beauty Clinic. The extent of the problem will determine how many treatments will be required.  Many cases of blood spots can be treated in just a couple of sessions.
Don’t let blood spots ruin your confidence.  Call in to 53 The Grove today, or call us on 020 8579 2010 to discuss our choice of procedures to rid you of annoying blood spots forever.

What Causes Dark Skin Patches and How Can they be Treated?

Dark skin patches, or melasma, are a common skin complaint but why do they appear and can they be removed?
Many clients who come to Grove Beauty Clinic with skin complaints are sufferers of melasma and the good news is there is a very effective treatment available.
What is Melasma?
Melasma is the name for the dark brown or grey patches that appear on the face – particularly the forehead, cheeks, forearms and neck.  It’s not a dangerous condition but it is one that troubles a great many people. Melasma is caused by ageing and overexposure to the sun. The patches darken and become more noticeable in sunlight and can become unsightly.  Pregnant women are very susceptible to melasma, so much so that it is often called the ‘mask of pregnancy.’
If you’re a sufferer of dark skin patches then a good sunscreen, used every day, is an absolute must. The condition is caused by over production of melanin in the skin and this can be triggered by sunlight.
Treating Melasma with CosMedix
At Grove Beauty Clinic we treat melasma with cutting edge products from the CosMedix range.  CosMedix is an advanced cosmeceutical range that deals with many skin conditions safely and naturally.
Qualified practitioners at Grove Beauty Clinic treat melasma first by helping to control the over production of melanin with a topical skin brightener made with natural ingredients such as azelaic acid that does not cause harmful side-effects.  Once the melanin production is controlled the discoloured patches of skin are reduced with gentle peels and resurfacing treatments.  The dark patches fade with this treatment and restore the skin to its original condition.
Before any CosMedix treatment is administered the skin care experts at Grove will conduct an in-depth skin analysis to ensure the correct treatment is prescribed.  Skin is monitored during the treatment and afterwards too for the very best results.
If you’re a sufferer of melasma and you’d like more information on CosMedix treatments at Grove then call 0208 579 2010 today or call into the clinic at 53 The Grove, Ealing.

Hair Removal: Three Ways at Grove

Grove Beauty Clinic offers a choice of hair removal and reduction treatments to suit everyone. Here are our three most popular methods:

Waxing is the preferred hair removal treatment for many thousands of women. The effects are good with hair becoming finer and less abundant with each waxing treatment.  Waxing removes the hair right from the root so regrowth can take between two to eight weeks, making it a good long term hair removal treatment.  Waxing is suitable for any part of the body; it’s as effective on eyebrows as it is on legs and as fairly large areas can be waxed at one time it’s a fast procedure too.
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatment is another very popular hair reduction treatment at Grove.  IPL is tiny controlled pulses of light that penetrate into the upper layers of skin to destroy the hair follicle permanently reducing regrowth.
Grove favours Ellipse Super Light IPL as it features laser technology that delivers excellent results. IPL clients generally need between three to six treatments for noticeable results.
Electrolysis is one of the most popular treatments for the removal of unwanted hair and skin blemishes. The treatment involves a tiny, fine probe that is inserted into the hair follicle through which an electrical current is administered which destroys the follicle. Electrolysis is a pain-free and fast hair removal treatment with long lasting results.
Expert Advice and Treatment for Professional Hair Removal
The staff at Grove Beauty Clinic are experts in all methods of hair reduction and removal. All treatments are conducted by trained professionals who are qualified and experienced. Before any IPL and electrolysis treatment is embarked upon all clients are given an in-depth consultation and skin analysis where appropriate to ensure the right method is chosen. Full advice is also given on aftercare for all methods of hair removal.
For a hair removal treatment that suits you, call Grove Beauty Clinic on 020 8579 2010 and book a consultation with our experts.
